Simple Mac n Cheese
1 box of macaroni
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
Ground black pepper according to your taste
2 cups milk
A minimum of 2 cups of shredded Cheddar cheese
Take water in a pot and keep it on the stove. Add macaroni to it and season it with salt.
Stir it occasionally until cooked through and is firm to the bite. Drain.
Melt butter in a saucepan over. Keep the heat to medium.
Add flour and salt, using a whisk to stir until well blended.
Add pepper and keep stirring.
Slowly pour milk into this mixture of butter and flour while continuously stirring it.
Keep stirring until the mixture is smooth and bubbling.
Now comes the best part-Add cheddar cheese to the milk gravy formed and stir until the cheese is nicely melted.For the finale, fold the macaroni into cheese sauce until it is coated completely.
Traditional Mac n Cheese Recipe
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 cup cream
Rest are same as those for simple Mac n cheese.
First of all, you need to preheat your oven up to a temperature of 400°F.
Boil water and cook macaroni in it. After it is a bit chewy, drain the macaroni and set aside.
Melt butter in the saucepan.
Add flour, pepper and salt, and blend the ingredients well with a Whisk.
Add milk and cream in a slow, gradual motion. Keep stirring.
Boil the contents for around 2 minutes. Do not stop stirring.
While stirring, make sure that you decrease the flame and let it cook for 10 minutes.
Add shredded cheddar and simmer, letting the cheese melt.
Toss the cheese sauce as you add macaroni to the saucepan so that the macaroni gets a coat.
